Feed 1:1 syrup in the spring and summer Choose 2:1 syrup in the fall

WHAT RATIO OF SUGAR:WATER?

WEIGHT VS VOLUME

Ratios are properly measured by weight, not volume.  So 2:1, for example, is 2 parts sugar and 1 part water, by weight. At the end of the day, weight will be close enough

HOW TO MAKE SYRUP

Heat water to ALMOST boiling and remove from heat. Stir in sugar and allow to cool.
