We understand teaching means a lot of out-of-pocket expenses. Typically, chick hatching projects can be quite costly, making them difficult to integrate into the classroom. We want every student to experience the magic of chick hatching and animal husbandry. Heritage Acres Market LLC is excited to offer an affordable Chick Hatching Package. Now your students can experience the magic of watching chicks hatch! After weeks of anxiously waiting, your students will be thrilled to welcome the newest member of your classroom. This can be a truly life changing experience, and often one of the few lessons your students will remember as adults.
This package is not limited to just educators. It is great for homeschool, adult facilities, individuals etc.. If you are simply in need of egg incubation, we have other options available.
Our package includes everything needed to hatch chicken eggs: a 7 egg Brinsea Mini Advanced incubator, 7 fertile chicken eggs, egg candler and complete brooder set up. Rental is for a full 30 days, which will allow you to hatch the eggs and enjoy the chicks for about a week. We offer on site set up and a short equipment tutorial. We also include a manual that outlines the hatching schedule and settings to optimize your experience, plus we are always available by phone. All you need is the lesson plan!
Any chick you hatch will become yours, if you would like them. If not, we will gladly give them a home on our farm.
Our Chick Hatching Program costs only $50 for the entire 30 day rental. We do require a $200 refundable security deposit due to the high cost of equipment, as well as a signed rental agreement. Deposit must be made by certified funds or via Paypal. We also have a 20 egg incubator available for rent. Please contact us for pricing.
If you are interested in our Chick Hatching Package, please email us. We have limited availability and there may be a wait period until an incubator becomes available. We will hold specific rental dates (if available) for $10, which is non refundable but can be applied toward the rental cost.
